Steph & Derek’s Santa Monica California Wedding | Shore Hotel Wedding Photography – Portrait and Wedding Photographers for chic, modern clients

It’s been just two weeks since the wedding of Steph and Derek, and we feel like it was just yesterday. Such a wonderful time with so many fantastic people. We were really honored to be asked to photograph what was to be their beach wedding, but as the big day grew near, the weather was getting sketchy and the possibility of rain warranted playing it safe and moving the wedding to their hotel. The Shore Hotel Santa Monica is a beautiful new place right on Ocean Avenue in the heart of Santa Monica. The staff and crew, along with the wedding planners that Steph and Derek hired, did an amazing job prepping the hotel site last-minute for what would turn out to be their very first wedding at the new facility. They handled the job like seasoned pros and you would have thought this was one of many weddings they’d done at the property.

We spent some time catching details and watching everyone finish getting ready and headed across the street to the park for Steph and Derek to have a “first look.” It turned out to be a beautiful day as you can see from the amazing skies in the images.

After their beautiful ceremony, we headed over to the fantastic Zengo on at 3rd Street Promenade where they had reserved a private deck, complete with lots of warm fireplaces and patio heaters, and an amazing view of downtown Santa Monica.

The food was amazing, and the staff was awesome.
